The Texas Choral Directors Association has selected Paul Gibson’s Noel, Noel, Noel (four-part men’s chorus, English horn) in the category of High School; Holiday. The recent ECS release can be previewed here.
On Monday, May 4, the Debussy Trio recorded Gibson’s Ternion Sonata No. 1 at the Performing Arts Center of Soka University. The three contrasting movements are entitled: 1. “Forgetting the Words,” 2. “So sad, so strange the times that are no more,” 3. “DT Variations in a Tasty Rondo Shell.”
Dr. Mary C. Breden led the combined choruses of Loyola Marymount University with professional orchestra in the world premiere of Paul Gibson’s Te Deum on May 1, 2015, in Sacred Heart Chapel at the Jesuit school. Watch the score and hear the premiere on YouTube.
