Paul Gibson Music

On October 21, 2007, Paul Gibson presented examples of his music at the Composers' Salon sponsored by American Composers Forum/Los Angeles. Featured performers included soprano Elin Carlson, pianist Alan Steinberger, and the Debussy Trio. Gibson also played a recording of his Song of Songs setting, My Sister, My Bride.

One of Gibson's earliest works, this tenderly imploring prayer takes as its text fragments from several psalms. A choir accustomed to singing chant will feel the interpretation come quite naturally.
