This Peerless Dawn

An original text is set to several melodies, including the plainchant “Jesu dulcis memoria” and the traditional hymn “Jesus Christ is Ris’n Today.” This anthem, which grows from pre-dawn quiet to a raucous shout of “Alleluia,” was commissioned for Easter 2000 by St. Matthew’s Parish, Pacific Palisades, CA.
