Scapulis suis

This motet for four-part women’s chorus uses a Latin text from Psalm 90 (91): “The Lord will overshadow you with his pinions, and you will find refuge under his wings. His faithfulness will encompass you with a shield.”

 

On June 1, on the steps of Walt Disney Concert Hall, 13 brass players from the Los Angeles Philharmonic gave the premiere of my Fanfare for the LA Phil 100, composed for the Phil’s Centennial season.
