Lord, Whose Love in Humble Service (Beach Spring)

Using the beautiful tune BEACH SPRING from the Sacred Harp, this Festive Hymn Setting was commissioned by Frank Brownstead, music director of Our Lady of the Angels cathedral in Los Angeles.

 

Shepherd’s Lot, The

A companion piece to Schubert’s Shepherd on the Rock, this set of three songs (with an Intermezzo for piano) uses poems by William Blake: 1. The Shepherd, 2. Love’s Secret, (3. Intermezzo,) 4. Spring. Commissioned for the European Concert Trio by Harald Gibson, ECT gave the first three performances in February 2016.
